AFK Journey, the free-to-play RPG, keeps things fresh with regular seasonal content updates. Every few months, a new season arrives, bringing exciting new maps, story chapters, and of course, a roster of fresh heroes. Here's when the new season, "Chains of Eternity," launches.
AFK Journey Chains of Eternity Season Release Date
The "Chains of Eternity" season arrives in the global version of AFK Journey on January 17th.
For players on different servers or game versions, the season unlocks once your server reaches 35 days old and you've met these requirements:
- Reach Resonance level 240.
- Complete all pre-season AFK stages.
Meeting these conditions and having a server older than 35 days ensures you'll get the new season on the official release date.
What's New in Chains of Eternity?
Beyond the new map and story, "Chains of Eternity" introduces several new heroes and bosses to challenge you:
- Lorsan (Wilder)
- Elijah and Lailah (Celestial)
- Illucia (Dream Realm boss)
This season also brings significant changes: a daily cap on AFK progress, Paragon level adjustments, and Exclusive Equipment enhancements. Paragon levels will have a much greater impact, and upgrading Exclusive Equipment from +15 to +20 receives a substantial boost. This means investing in your existing Supreme+ units will yield higher returns, though the investment cost increases significantly beyond +15.
