It appears that one of the PlayStation Plus titles for May 2025 may have been leaked.
While Sony has yet to make an official announcement, speculation points to the teen slasher horror adventure Until Dawn becoming a free download for PlayStation users next May. The promotional artwork strongly suggests this will be the remastered version of Until Dawn rather than the 2014 original, although this remains unconfirmed. We will provide an update as soon as we have definitive information.

As discussed by users in the PlayStation subreddit (via PushSquare), this free release could be timed to promote the new Until Dawn film, which premiered just before the weekend. The movie failed to make a strong impression on our reviewers; we gave it a 5/10 score, stating in IGN's Until Dawn movie review: "Until Dawn proves more disappointing than frightening, abandoning the potential of the horror game in favor of a patchwork of horror movie clichés."
This matches the score we gave the 2024 remaster, which we described in IGN's Until Dawn Remastered review as "an overpriced and lacking remake that feels less like essential moonlit terror and more like daytime theft." The original 2015 release from Supermassive Games received significantly better marks, earning a 7.5/10 from our team.
Twenty-two games are scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus catalog next month, including Grand Theft Auto 5, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, and the final playable versions of first-party titles Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2. Consequently, Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 will no longer be accessible on modern gaming systems.
