In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, staying abreast of modern advancements has become not just a convenience but a necessity. For those who are custodians of knowledge and science, it is imperative to embrace these changes to safeguard and disseminate our rich scientific heritage to a broader audience. At the Heritage Revival Center in al-Abbas's alternatives, we recognize the leadership and importance of this source. Despite its significance, the heritage has not been fully recognized in terms of printing. Although individual efforts have been made over the centuries to print certain volumes, these efforts, while meticulous, have been limited.
Thus, we have taken the initiative to develop this invaluable resource into an electronic application that caters to both specialists and enthusiasts of our heritage. The application serves as a comprehensive knowledge portal, enabling users to explore the scholars and conditions of the true sect, and facilitating research in the shortest time possible.
The application includes the book in three formats:
- A text format that closely matches the printed publication.
- A digital version of the printed book.
- A unique feature for specialists, which is the manuscript copy handwritten by the author, may God Almighty have mercy on him. This allows users to verify any suspected typographical errors, particularly since many volumes of the book have not been thoroughly checked and may contain such errors.
Despite its simplicity, this application offers several advantages that we believe will benefit researchers, which we can summarize as follows:
- The ability to read each version of the book separately.
- The ability to search the entire encyclopedia or a specific section, with both normal and advanced search options.
- The ability to copy or share text.
- The option to print pages of the book in all three formats.
- The ability to open two windows simultaneously: one for the text and another for the printed version, with the ability to zoom in and out, and a feature that links the pages between the two windows during browsing.
- An index of translators' names for each volume, as well as for the entire encyclopedia, with the ability to search within these indices.
- The ability to bookmark any page of the book in all three formats.
- The option to add notes or comments to any page in the notes field for all three formats.
As we present this application to our valued users, we extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the creation of this remarkable journey. We are particularly grateful to the eminent scholar of his time, Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani, may God have mercy on him, for his dedication to typesetting, interviewing, and printing the work on paper, as well as those who preserved and published the written copy, making it accessible to researchers.
