Version 1.4 included two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero frequently incorporates temporary events with unique gameplay mechanics, such as the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event. This upcoming platformer mode, revealed by leaker Palito, showcases stages reminiscent of Fall Guys. The leak includes screenshots of these levels.
While the leak doesn't confirm whether players will utilize their standard characters or Bangboo avatars in this mode, it indicates potential rewards including Polychromes and additional free pulls, further fueling anticipation for Version 1.5.
This platformer event echoes a similar event, "Midnight Chronicle," in HoYoverse's Honkai Impact 3rd (6.1 update), which also featured Fall Guys-like stages with chibi character representations. Given the popularity of Bangboo in Zenless Zone Zero (featured in Hollow Zero mode), their inclusion in this event is a strong possibility.
Version 1.5, launching January 22nd, will introduce the highly anticipated characters Astra Yao and Evelyn. Previous leaks also hinted at a character skin for Nicole and a potential Agent Story for Ellen.
