World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking campaign marathon.
This extended event provides ample opportunities to earn a wealth of rewards, including:
- New Rewards: Discover fresh loot and collectibles.
- Abundant Timewarped Badges: Stock up on these valuable tokens.
- Experience Boost: Level up faster with a powerful experience buff.
Mastery of Timeways and the Timely Buzzbee Mount:
The event retains the popular Mastery of Timeways buff. By completing four Timewalking dungeons, players unlock a 20% experience boost. Achieving this Mastery for five out of the seven weeks grants the prestigious Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount.
Event Schedule:
The Timewalking campaigns will cycle through the following expansions:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Enhanced Rewards and Vendor Stock:
Timewalking vendors will feature permanent additions to their inventory, including Season of Discovery transmogs. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet (previously available only during the initial Turbulent Timeways event) will be available for those who missed it. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will yield Heroic gear throughout the event.
Looking Ahead:
With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking and this extended Turbulent Timeways, players will have enjoyed 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking by the event's conclusion. The February 24th end date for Turbulent Timeways strongly suggests a February 25th release for World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, aligning with Blizzard's typical release schedule and factoring in the holiday season. This, coupled with the ongoing Plunderstorm and the upcoming War Within update, promises a jam-packed start to 2025 for World of Warcraft players.
