Acquiring the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, specifically in a warehouse adjacent to a greenhouse near the Military Unit. You may already be familiar with this area if you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash. Use the secondary entrance for easy access.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering Duga, navigate towards the Military Unit (marked on your map). Instead of entering the building, circle around it to reach the greenhouse at the rear. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they'll attack on sight. Proceed cautiously to avoid confrontation.
Once inside the greenhouse, you'll enter the warehouse. Prepare for a swarm of rats upon entry; they'll inflict damage quickly. Utilize the elevated platforms at the back to gain a tactical advantage and eliminate the rodents, perhaps with a grenade.
Retrieving the Cavalier
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. You'll spot yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon to dislodge the Cavalier sniper rifle.
Collect the weapon and safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can be further upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy, enhanced by upgrades and modifications, make it a formidable weapon, especially for players who prefer red-dot sights for close-to-medium range engagements.
