Romancing SaGa Re:universe Global Server Closure Announced
The global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe will officially cease operations on December 2nd, 2024. While this may come as a surprise to some, the Japanese version will continue running.
Two Months Remain
With the December shutdown looming, in-app purchases of jewels and Google Play Points exchanges have already been discontinued following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.
Launched in June 2020, the global server's four-year run is concluding. Despite its attractive visuals, compelling soundtrack, and generous gacha mechanics, the game received a mixed reception. Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates, notably the Solistia content and 6-star unit upgrades, a year-long absence that contributed to player attrition.
Community Feedback
Square Enix has already shuttered several titles in 2024, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games, adding Romancing SaGa Re:universe (global) to the list.
This turn-based RPG, inspired by the classic SaGa series, offers players two months to enjoy its remaining content. Those yet to experience the game can download it from the Google Play Store.
