How To Rob Vaults and Cases Alongside the Fortnite Community

Fortnite players eager to continue the Outlaws Story Quests are facing a unique challenge: a Community Quest to obtain the Outlaw Keycard, a new game mechanic. This guide explains how to contribute to the community effort by robbing Vaults and Cases.

The mid-season update for Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2, introduces the Outlaw Keycard challenge tab alongside the Outlaw Midas skin. While details are scarce, the keycard's rarity increases with quest completion, unlocking new in-game areas and features. This new system has left many players puzzled, especially since further Story Quests are locked until the Community Quest is finished.

The process appears straightforward: players must rob Vaults and Cases in Battle Royale matches to contribute to the community goal. This collaborative element is reminiscent of the Doctor Doom boss event, but this Community Quest seems more extensive.

Early testing reveals that simply robbing a Vault isn't enough for individual progress. The completion bar remains stagnant, indicating a reliance on collective community participation rather than individual efforts. Players must wait for sufficient community progress before the challenge advances.

Further suggesting a longer timeframe, the next set of Fortnite Outlaw Quests isn't scheduled until March 25th—a two-week delay. This implies Fortnite developers anticipate the Community Quest may take up to a week to complete. While this might be frustrating for some, the currently available Golden Gunslinger Quests offer ample alternative gameplay.

In short, completing this Community Quest requires collaborative Vault and Case robbing within the Fortnite Battle Royale mode. For more Fortnite news, check out all the rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.
