Pokémon Legends: Z-A Release Date Emerges via Online Leaks

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 2025 Release Date Leak

Rumors suggest Pokémon Legends: Z-A may launch on August 15th, 2025, following a leak from Amazon UK in early January 2025. This aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window. Official confirmation is anticipated during the Pokémon Day 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast, expected on February 27th.

The potential release date emerged from a temporary listing on the Amazon UK website, quickly corrected to a placeholder date. The original announcement of Pokémon Legends: Z-A occurred during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations. The game is a sequel to the exploration-focused Pokémon Legends: Arceus, known for its open-ended gameplay and departure from traditional gym battles and Pokémon Leagues.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

While the leaked date remains unverified, a formal announcement of the Pokémon Legends: Z-A release date is likely during the 2025 Pokémon Day event on February 27th – mirroring the original game's announcement. This date's validity is supported by datamining within the latest Pokémon GO build.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, also potentially unveiled during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents. Pokémon Legends: Z-A, initially confirmed as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to confirmed backward compatibility. Unlike its predecessor, which received only one free DLC update ("Daybreak"), the possibility of paid post-launch content remains open.
