Pokémon Go is getting ready for Christmas with the Holiday Part 1 event later this month

Get ready for festive fun in Pokémon GO! Niantic's Holiday Part One event is arriving soon, bringing a flurry of holiday cheer from December 17th to 22nd. This exciting event features boosted rewards, unique Pokémon encounters, and seasonal challenges.

Double XP for catching Pokémon and halved Egg hatching distances await! A new costumed Dedenne, sporting a holiday outfit, makes its debut, with a chance to snag a shiny variant. Shiny Sandygast also makes its first appearance.

Prepare for festive encounters in the wild, including Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer a delightful lineup: One-star raids feature a Winter Carnival Pikachu and a holiday-themed Psyduck. Three-star raids challenge you with an Undersea Holiday Glaceon and Cryogonal. Mega Latias and Mega Latios will grace Mega Raids.
