Monster Hunter Wilds is offering a second Open Beta, giving players another shot at the action and introducing new features. Here's how to participate!
New Monster, New Hunt
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second beta test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February! Following the success of the initial beta, this second phase provides another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta includes content absent from the first, such as hunting the returning Gypceros monster.
Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack for the full game.

"We understand many missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is diligently working on finalizing the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed upcoming improvements, these won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S February 28th, 2025. Happy hunting!
