Konami producer Noriaki Okamura recently teased the possibility of a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots remake within MGS Master Collection Vol. 2, alongside next-gen console ports. While acknowledging fan excitement and speculation surrounding a PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC release, Okamura remained elusive about concrete plans, stating that Konami is "internally concerned about what we should be doing for the future of the series."
The possibility of an MGS4 port, previously exclusive to the PS3, has been a major topic of discussion, especially considering the success of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which brought remastered versions of the first three games to various platforms.
Further fueling the rumors, placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline, suggesting their inclusion in Vol. 2.
