September brings a thrilling new season to Marvel Snap (Free), themed around everyone's favorite web-slinger and his allies! This season introduces a game-changing mechanic: Activate abilities. These abilities, unlike "On Reveal," offer players tactical control over when to unleash their card's power, creating exciting strategic possibilities.
The Season Pass card, Symbiote Spider-Man (4-Cost, 6-Power), perfectly embodies this new mechanic. His Activate ability lets you absorb the lowest-cost card at a location and copy its effect, even re-triggering On Reveal abilities! Beyond the Season Pass, this update introduces a roster of exciting new cards:
- Silver Sable: (1-Cost, 1-Power) Her On Reveal ability steals 2 Power from the top card of your opponent's deck.
- Madame Web: (Ongoing) Allows you to move one card at her location to another location once per turn.
- Arana: (1-Cost, 1-Power) Her Activate ability moves the next card you play to the right and grants it +2 Power.
- Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): (4-Cost, 5-Power) His Activate ability spawns an identical clone at another location.
Two new locations further enhance the strategic depth:
- Brooklyn Bridge: Players can't place cards here on consecutive turns.
- Otto's Lab: The next card played here pulls a card from your opponent's hand into play.
