Dead by Daylight's Terrifying Junji Ito Collection: Eight New Skins Unveiled
The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, Dead by Daylight (DbD), is thrilled to announce a chilling collaboration with legendary Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito. This partnership brings eight terrifying new character skins inspired by Ito's iconic works to the game, creating the ultimate horror experience.
A Collection of Nightmares: Eight New Skins
For 40 years, Junji Ito has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique brand of surreal horror. Now, his chilling creations are invading the realm of Dead by Daylight. The collection features skins inspired by some of his most famous works, including "Tomie," "Hanging Balloons," and "Rumors."
The Killers receiving new skins are The Dredge, The Trickster, The Twins, The Spirit, and The Artist. Importantly, The Spirit and The Artist will boast Legendary rarity skins, complete with updated audio and sound effects. The Spirit will sport a Tomie skin, while The Artist will be transformed into Miss Fuchi from "Rumors." Survivors Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson also receive new Ito-inspired appearances.
Junji Ito himself was involved in bringing his characters to life within Dead by Daylight. In a video shared on the official Dead by Daylight X (formerly Twitter) account, Ito expressed his delight at seeing his creations adapted into the game, commenting on how even more terrifying they became in this new medium. He even participated in a gameplay session, taking on the role of The Artist as Miss Fuchi.
The Junji Ito Collection will launch on January 7th, 2025, for Dead by Daylight on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Prepare for a truly unforgettable horror experience!
