Final Fantasy XVI's PC Debut: September 17th
Square Enix has officially announced that the acclaimed Final Fantasy XVI will launch on PC on September 17th. This announcement signals a positive shift for the franchise's PC presence, with Takai suggesting the possibility of future titles launching simultaneously across multiple platforms.
The PC version will be available for $49.99, with a Complete Edition priced at $69.99, including the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" story expansions. A playable demo is currently available, allowing players to experience the prologue and a challenging "Eikonic Challenge" combat mode. Progress from the demo carries over to the full game.
In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Takai highlighted the PC version's enhanced capabilities, stating, "we've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and you can choose from various upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
