Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has reinstated its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, offering a four-day free trial period to eligible players with inactive accounts. This campaign runs from January 9th, 2025, to February 6th, 2025, and is accessible across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

This generous offer allows players to revisit Eorzea and catch up on recent content, including Patch 7.15's additions such as new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, the return of the Hildibrand adventures, and a fresh Custom Delivery client. The campaign arrives hot on the heels of Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message, which confirmed the upcoming releases of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller updates. Yoshida also teased future developments in the Dawntrail storyline, sparking much speculation amongst the community.

Eligibility and Campaign Details:

  • Eligibility: Players must have a registered, inactive Square Enix account with a purchased copy of Final Fantasy XIV, inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start. Accounts suspended or canceled due to Terms of Service violations are ineligible.
  • Duration: The four-day free play period begins upon logging into the game launcher and ends on February 6th, 2025, at 9:59 AM Eastern Time.
  • Verification: Players are urged to verify their eligibility and account details on the Mog Station.

While the Free Login Campaign is active, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th), earning a unique minion reward, and anticipate Patch 7.16's release on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. This provides returning players a fantastic opportunity to catch up before the arrival of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail remains shrouded in mystery, with Square Enix promising more revelations throughout 2025.
