Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing several titles. Following their recent deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).
Exploring the Darkside Detective Universe
The game unfolds in the perpetually gloomy, fog-shrouded town of Twin Lakes, where the bizarre and uncanny are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his endearingly clumsy partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, of the perpetually underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department. Together, they tackle nine quirky cases, navigating the humorous and surreal world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.
These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel puzzles and monstrous tentacles to carnival mysteries and zombie mobsters. See the action firsthand in the trailer below!

The Darkside Detective is a delightful homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, science fiction series, and buddy cop movies. The cases themselves boast intriguing titles, including "Malice in Wonderland," "Tome Alone," "Disorient Express," "Police Farce," "Don of the Dead," "Buy Hard," and "Baits Motel."
The game's exceptional humor permeates every pixel. Available on the Google Play Store for $6.99, The Darkside Detective can be enjoyed independently of its sequel, A Fumble in the Dark, which is also available on Google Play.
