Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4: A Console Testing Update from Toby Fox
Undertale creator Toby Fox recently provided an update on the testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. Console testing is progressing smoothly, though much work remains. Fox specifically noted that PlayStation 5 testing hasn't yet begun.
Save Transfer Functionality in the Works
A significant development is the team's efforts to enable save transfer from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo to the full console release of Chapters 3 and 4. This feature, recently made possible by newly acquired technology, is still under development, with Fox expressing hopeful anticipation for its success.
With beta testing showing positive results, a release date may be imminent. Fox previously confirmed a 2025 release window for Chapters 3 and 4.
Introducing Tenna: A New Character Revealed
Amidst the development, Fox shared humorous anecdotes about a minigame he's created, described by his family and friends as "a cry for help" due to the game's prolonged development. This minigame's purpose remains uncertain, but speculation suggests it might be intended for Chapter 5.
More intriguingly, Fox mentioned a friend's nostalgic comment about a character named Tenna, a character previously unseen in the main game but featured in the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022. This confirms Tenna's appearance in the upcoming Chapter 3.
Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation with its blend of familiar mechanics and a fresh narrative. Players will once again join Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
