Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off of their popular fighting game franchise.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, the game will feature a special Asian "global version" with English text support. Players can engage in mini-games, customize character appearances, and soak up the tropical island atmosphere. The developers promise numerous avenues for building relationships with the heroines and experiencing a captivating romantic narrative.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a distinct gameplay experience while retaining the series' signature style.
However, even this venture has its boundaries, as evidenced by Koei Tecmo's ongoing efforts to combat fan-created content. Annually, the publisher removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images depicting the fighting game characters.
The Dead or Alive series is celebrated for its gameplay and its attractive female characters, often depicted in swimwear during combat. This has naturally led to a significant amount of fan-made "adult" content. While appreciating fan art, the developers actively work to counter the proliferation of unauthorized mature material.
