Dark & Darker Mobile could be getting a name change from Krafton

by Sadie Mar 21,2025

Dark and Darker Mobile is facing a name change as Krafton terminates its agreement with Ironmace. While Krafton denies a connection, this action follows a recent court ruling ordering Ironmace to pay Nexon $6 million in damages. The lawsuit alleges Ironmace, founded by former Nexon employees, used trade secrets from Nexon's cancelled P3 project to develop Dark and Darker.

Despite Krafton's statement, the termination of their licensing agreement suggests a link to the legal battle. Dark and Darker Mobile, under its new name, will be a standalone release. The irony isn't lost that Ironmace initially sued Nexon for copyright infringement. Now, with Krafton's actions, the floodgates for similar game releases may open.

Despite the upheaval, the global launch of Dark and Darker Mobile (or its successor) remains on schedule. We will provide updates on any further developments. We hope the final product maintains the high quality we lauded in our previous review.
