Pokémon Go's February Community Day: Double the Fun with Karrablast and Shelmet!
Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! The February Community Day event details are here, featuring not one, but two featured Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet! This exciting event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.
Spotlight Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet
Prepare for increased wild spawns of Karrablast and Shelmet, boosting your chances of catching these Pokémon. Keep an eye out – Shiny versions might appear! The real excitement begins with evolution.
Evolving Karrablast during the event (or until February 16th at 10:00 p.m. local time) yields an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe grants you an Accelgor with the Charged Attack, Energy Ball (a hefty 90 power in all battle types).
Event Bonuses and Research Tasks
This Community Day is packed with bonuses:
- 3x Catch XP
- Double Candy
- 2x Candy XL chance for Trainers level 31+
Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last a generous three hours. Plus, a photo-snapping surprise awaits!
Special Research will reward encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet featuring special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy XL. A Timed Research event follows, lasting a week after the main event, providing further opportunities to encounter these Pokémon with their unique backgrounds. Simply log in during Community Day to unlock these tasks.
