Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings. The company emphasized its commitment to maintaining a fun and fair gaming environment by stating, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom also highlighted that players who participate in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could face consequences, including invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those engaging in prohibited activities, urging them to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter. "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," Capcom stated.
The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, some of which will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating and suspicious behavior crucial, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and competition.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
