ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending its updates through late 2026. This Unreal Engine 5 remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved will see a steady stream of new content, including maps, creatures, and quality-of-life improvements.
The roadmap kicks off with a crucial technical update in March 2025, transitioning the game to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance enhancements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation technology. This update also lays the groundwork for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size.
Beyond the technical improvements, the roadmap details a robust schedule of content releases:
2025:
- April: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, a free Bison creature, and a new Fantastic Tame.
- June: A new premium map (details to be announced).
- August: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and another Fantastic Tame.
2026:
- April: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
- August: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
- December: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
- Throughout the year: Three additional Fantastic Tames will be released.
The roadmap highlights a balance between free content updates (including remastered maps and community-chosen creatures) and paid DLC, primarily focusing on new maps. While this roadmap provides a high-level overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential additional surprises throughout the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a consistently improved and expanded ARK: Survival Ascended experience.
