Remedy Entertainment is celebrating Alan Wake 2's near-anniversary with a substantial, free Anniversary Update launching October 22nd. The developer expressed gratitude to players, thanking the community for their support and feedback since the game's release.
This free update, released concurrently with The Lake House expansion, significantly enhances accessibility. New features include infinite ammo and one-hit kill options. PS5 players will also benefit from improved DualSense functionality, adding haptic feedback to healing items and throwable objects. The update also includes the ability to invert horizontal axis controls.
The update incorporates numerous quality-of-life (QoL) improvements based on player feedback, reflecting Remedy's continued commitment to the game's development. These improvements are bundled into the Anniversary Update, timed to coincide with the game's release anniversary.
