A second Mega Man entry, justified by its distinct gameplay from Mega Man Zero. This RPG features a unique battle system blending action and strategy within a clever virtual world concept. While later installments show diminishing returns, the original remains highly enjoyable.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow – Castlevania Advance Collection ($19.99)
From the Castlevania Advance Collection, Aria of Sorrow stands out as a personal favorite, even surpassing Symphony of the Night for some. Its soul-collecting system encourages replayability, complemented by engaging gameplay and a unique setting.
Nintendo DS
Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut ($9.99)
Originally a cult classic with limited distribution, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge on DSiWare catapulted Shantae to mainstream success. This title, bridging the gap between a cancelled GBA game and later installments, solidified Shantae's place in gaming history.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow – Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)
Part of the Castlevania Dominus Collection, Dawn of Sorrow benefits from improved button controls over its original touch-based controls. However, all three DS Castlevania games within the collection are recommended.
Etrian Odyssey III HD – Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection ($79.99)
While the Etrian Odyssey series thrives on DS/3DS hardware, this Switch port offers a playable experience. Etrian Odyssey III, the largest of the three, provides a substantial RPG adventure.
